Driving pleasure expectations and environmental requirements

Almost one year after the launch of the saloon and six months after the arrival of the SW version, Peugeot continues to enhance the 308 range to meet changes in customer expectations in terms of driving pleasure and in terms of environmental requirements.

Accordingly, the 1.6 l THP 110 kW (150 h.p.) engine in the 308 saloon is now coupled to the Group’s all-new six-speed mechanical manual gearbox. Built to ambitious specifications in terms of precision, robustness and compactness, the «MCM» (in-house code name for Mechanical Compact Manual) gearbox provides maximum driving pleasure with the 308.
